Bart Coleman is skilled Executive Producer and Showrunner with wide-ranging experience creating, developing and producing comedic programming. Coleman Co-Created and Executive Produced two seasons of The UCB Show on Starz hosted by Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, Matt Besser and Ian Roberts. He was Supervising Producer for Comedy Central’s @midnight with Chris Hardwick spanning four seasons (600 episodes). For Comedy Central, Coleman also produced: Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, The Comedy Jam, The Burn with Jeff Ross, The Jeselnik Offensive and John Oliver’s New York Stand Up series.
Coleman is a well respected scout with strong talent relationships. He has a long history of discovering and launching careers of emerging comedians both in the US and abroad. He spent over a decade as a talent booker for a variety of programs including: Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. For several years he served as Director of Talent at Comedy Central overseeing events and specials including: The Roast franchise, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central Presents and correspondent casting for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He has also Executive Produced comedy specials in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
An active member of the comedy community, Coleman has been on the advisory board of San Francisco Sketchfest since 2005, and serves as a talent consultant for HeadCount.org.
2018 projects included: The Fix with Jimmy Carr now streaming on Netflix, The New Negroes with Baron Vaughn & Open Mike Eagle coming to Comedy Central Spring ‘19 and Will Ferrell’s Best Night of Your Life, a live show benefiting Cancer for College.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Coleman is a native Texan with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin
